Comprehensive advanced nursing education

Uganda Nursing School Bwindi (UNSB), in Buhoma, southwest Uganda, is a proud affiliate of Uganda Christian University and closely associated with Bwindi Community Hospital. The school was created through the collaborative efforts of a U.S./Ugandan team consisting of the hospital and school management, major donors James D. Jameson and Stephen M. Wolf, Dr. Scott Kellermann, the Kellermann Foundation, and Rotary International.

Graduates of UNSB’s three-year program receive a Diploma in Nursing, the equivalent of an RN designation. UNSB is the only advanced-level nursing school for a population of nearly one million people. Nurses trained here will be able to work independently throughout this remote region, greatly improving healthcare to a large, desperately under-served population in one of the poorest corners of Africa. UNSB graduates will help change the face of healthcare in this isolated region.
